Maximise your Affiliate Marketing Earnings
Affiliate marketing has been around for a number of years now and much has been written on SEO and other strategies to get your site onto page one of Google. The web is becoming swamped with different websites, there were over six million searches for web hosting, and those that are backed up with good financing will be employing the top SEO companies and web designers which means that even getting onto page four will be quite an achievement.
Now there is another way of driving traffic to your site that doesn't rely on being on page one called article marketing. First you need to look into an affiliate market place, Clickbank, Paydotcom, Shareasale or whatever and look for a product that is producing a lot of sales. This means that there is a lot of interest in the product. If there are other similar products close by, it means that the subject is a popular one and should be worth going for.
Now you need to know the sorts of problems that people are having with this particular subject, for instance, you decide on an affiliate program for cheap travel, so you should research in travel or family oriented forums. Find out what type of problems people are asking about then either Google it or utilise the yahoo answer page and get some answers that you can use in your article. Once you know what is being asked about the subject, you have the key to start to make money. Knowledge is power so now you are aware of what people need, you can address this by selling them the answer to their problems.
How you do this, is to use the same keywords that people use when they are researching their problem and find related keywords by using a keyword tool, a good one to use is the one from Google, just type in your problem keywords and see which other keywords come up. Using the most popular ones, Google or Yahoo them and see which types of sites come up on page one. You could look at page two but you really need to concentrate on the top results.
Look at the types of sites that appear on page one, are they big professional sites that you know have been skilfully put together? Then it may be worth changing key- words or even change the original product and start again with a different one on a different subject. On the other hand, if on page one there are a lot of article sites, Squido Lenses or other blog type sites, you know that there is a good chance of having your article seen.
Now it is time to write your article, not forgetting to use your keywords in it, which will address the readers problems or at least some of them, because at the end of the article you will be using your authors resource box to direct them to your product that is going to help them and make money for you. The article has to be well written and the title must be really catchy, it must make them want to read the article or they won't get to your link.
If you have written it correctly, they should be positively wanting to click your link that takes them to your product and will get them buying.
Once you have your site running and have done a couple of articles for it, you may wish to start another. This can be a similar topic or you could try something completely different. Then monitor them to see which one has the best sales.
Now you can start to think about writing that letter of resignation.
